Portrait Photography

Who doesn't love portrait photography? I love the faces — the expression, the quirk, the smile or whatever — that sort of defines a person. My sessions are unhurried walks, not studio interrogations: ninety minutes, two locations, zero stiff shoulders.

Portraits that look like you on a good day

Most people arrive saying they hate being photographed. My job is to make the first ten minutes feel like a walk with a chatty friend — then the shoulders drop and the real face shows up. I direct just enough: chin here, weight there, laugh at my terrible jokes.

Retouching stays honest — stray hairs, temporary blemishes and background distractions go; moles, laugh lines and character stay. You get forty hand-edited frames in two weeks, with five next-day favourites for the impatient.

What's included

  • 90-minute session — two nearby locations at golden hour, outfit change welcome.

  • Style guidance — what to wear, what to skip, and a weather backup plan.

  • 40 edited frames — print-resolution, private gallery, five sneak peeks next day.

  • Print credit — $30 toward fine-art prints from your own session.

“I told Elliot I was unphotogenic. He laughed, walked me through the park, and proved me completely wrong.”

What should we wear?

Solid, muted tones photograph best — I'll send a one-page guide after booking. Bring one smart outfit and one relaxed one; changing takes two minutes.

Can kids and dogs come?

Absolutely — some of my favourite frames have muddy paws in them. Tell me in advance so I plan treats, bribes and extra patience.

How much retouching do you do?

Honest retouching: temporary flaws out, permanent character stays. Skin keeps its texture — no plastic, ever.
