Whenever I'm travelling I always make sure to pack gear that allows me to capture the local wildlife. The eagle that takes flight in my favourite frame is probably my most prized image — four mornings in a hide for six seconds of wings.
Wildlife first, photographs second — always. I work with local guides, keep legal distances, never bait or call sensitive species, and skip the shot when the animal says no. That patience is why the frames feel calm instead of chased.
Closer to home I photograph dogs, horses and farm residents for owners who want more than a phone snap: muddy-paw portraits with real personality, plus end-of-life sessions handled with unusual gentleness.
Guided field sessions — dawn and dusk outings with licensed local guides.
Pet portraits — one-hour sessions at home, on the farm or favourite walk.
Conservation stories — image sets for sanctuaries, charities and press.
Fine-art edits — thirty hand-finished frames with print ordering built in.
Species, season, location and what the images are for — wall, web or welfare.
Guide calls, hide bookings and weather windows — wildlife runs on its own clock.
Quiet hours in hides or easy walks with pets. No rushing, ever.
Thirty finished frames in three weeks, with print sizes recommended per image.
“The portrait of our old mare hangs in the hall. Elliot caught her exactly as we remember her.”

Never with wildlife, and only gentle bounced light with pets when truly needed. Calm animals photograph better than startled ones.
No honest photographer can — wildlife owes us nothing. Field sessions include a recon day to maximise odds, and a discounted return if the animals no-show.
Yes, at reduced rates for registered non-profits. Image sets for appeals, adoptions and annual reports are some of my favourite work.
