Nature Photography

Landscape photography just never gets old. Some say the woods are the kinds of pictures you never look at twice. Well, I don't agree. Give me a 4am alarm, a flask of tea and a ridge with weather coming in, and I'm exactly where I want to be.

Dawn patrols and guided workshops

Twice a month I run small-group landscape workshops — four photographers, one ridge, endless tea. We cover reading weather, foreground hunting, filters without fuss and the patient art of waiting for light that may never come (and the joy when it does).

For collectors, the print shop carries the best of a decade outdoors: fog, ridgelines, pines and meadows, each printed as archival giclée and signed in pencil. Offices and clinics license the calmer frames for walls that need to breathe.

What's included

  • Half-day workshops — four guests max, all levels, tripod provided if needed.

  • 1-to-1 tuition — a full dawn-to-dusk day tuned to exactly what you want to learn.

  • Location guides — my private map of lookouts, with seasons and sun angles noted.

  • Edit-along session — we process your best three frames together, step by step.

The process

Pick a date

Workshop calendar or a private day — scheduled around moon and forecast.

Kit check

A packing list and a call about what you own, so nobody over-buys gear.

Shoot

Blue hour to breakfast: compositions, filters and patience in the field.

Edit

Same-week video call where we finish your three strongest frames.

“I learned more in one freezing dawn with Elliot than in two years of tutorials.”

— Chris B., workshop guest
I'm a beginner — will I keep up?

Yes. Groups are capped at four and the pace is deliberately slow. If you can work your camera's manual mode roughly, you're ready.

What happens in bad weather?

We shoot anyway — moody beats bluebird most days. Only dangerous conditions reschedule, free of charge, and you'll know by 9pm the night before.

Can I buy the locations as prints instead?

Many workshop viewpoints are in the print shop as signed archival editions — the easy way to take the ridge home.
